Behind the Scenes: Jun Cha

Here is a short behind the scenes video of a recent shoot I had with LA based artist Jun Cha for Urban Ink Magazine. Jun is one of the most talented tattoo artists I've had the chance to work with and he's only 21! Be sure to check out his work at Arudima.com.

Just-N-Credible

A few weeks ago I linked up with LA based DJ Just-N-Credible from Power106 to shoot some promo shots for his new media kit. The shoot took place at Studio 1015 which is a cool New York loft style photography studio in Downtown LA.

Here are a few samples from the shoot...

Thanks again to Justin, Jenny, Alex, Jerome and Isthar for another successful shoot!

Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2010

Earlier this year I entered the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2010 which is a contest that represents the best in action and adventure sports photography. In this years contest there were over 22,000 submissions from over 100 countries. I'm excited to say that one of my images was selected as a Finalist in the Top 50! There were 10 overall categories with 5 finalists in each category. My photo (of skateboard legend Duane Peters) was selected in the top 5 of the "Culture" category. The Top 50 images were unveiled on August 31st at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the ceremony but here are some photos/video from the event (courtesy of Red Bull Illume)....

You can vote for my photo for the People's Choice Award HERE (scroll down to "Culture" category and vote for my image)

There is also a winners book available HERE

If you're in Dublin between now and September 11th you can view the exhibition in the front square of Trinity College nightly from 8-10PM. Admission is free. I also received word from Red Bull that the exhibit will go on a global tour in 2011 starting with 3-6 stops across the United States from Late January-April.
